Hello, I'm David, a boat captain turned host with roots in the vibrant cities of Chicago, Illinois, and the tropical haven of Key West. My journey to Alaska in 2003 was meant to be a year of adventure, but it turned into a lifelong love affair with the Last Frontier.

**The Journey:**
With a career navigating the waters as a boat captain on research vessels, tankers, ferries, tugboats, and fishing charters, my passion for the ocean and the wild beauty of Alaska only grew stronger. In 2016, I found my piece of paradise and began remodeling what is now the Two Lakes Guest House, a cozy retreat nestled in the heart of Alaska's wilderness.

**The Vision:**
Driven by a deep desire to share the magic of Alaska with others, I opened the doors to the Two Lakes Guest House in 2024, offering a warm and welcoming haven for travelers seeking a genuine Alaskan experience. Inspired by the success of my first venture, I introduced the Halibut House, a second rental property designed to immerse guests in the wonders of Alaska's marine world.
